On Sunday 20th June the Kaikoura Golf Club hosted Marlborough teams in the Fairhall Cup competition, round four. Kaikoura beat round three leaders, Picton, 4 games to 2.
After a slow start in the competition, Kaikoura gained momentum, with a 4 - 2 victory against Rarangi in last week's round three at Wairau Valley.
In the local competition, an African Stableford, Phil Richardson and Barry Voice enjoyed a four point victory.

On Sunday the Kaikoura Golf Club hosted a regional competition that has been going since 1927. The stroke round was contested by individual players and teams from North Canterbury golf clubs. Fourteen teams and over sixty players partcipated in strong, northerly wind conditions.
A highlight was Bob Graham's 66 nett round, which won the Rutherford Cup and contributed to his Kaikoura team's Berry Shield win.

The Kaikoura Golf Club has held its first ever Masters Tournament.
There was competition over three days from Wednesday 29th April to Friday 1st May, with entry restricted to players 45 years and over. Visitors came from all over the South Island and over 70 players took to the course on the first day.
The Masters Tournament was generously sponsored by: Charles Wiffen Wines, Dolphin Encounter, Fairways, CRT, BNZ, Ford Bros, Aunty Phyl.
