Well another cold snap this week, the course looks very picturesque with all the snow on the mountains.

Weekly results:   

Monkey’s Mob: 19 players today, in first place Wayne Broadhurst 39, followed by Rick Hughes, Barrie Stammers, Garry Monk on 36, Robbie Franklin, Allan Heffer, JP Roberts with 34

Vets:

With very cool temperatures of between 3 and 8 deg, only 5 players ventured out, best score was Rick Hughes 37, Garry Monk 34

Saturday:

Women’s 18 Hole – LGU 

Silver – Lyn Batchelor 83; Bronze – 1st Judy Hickey 79, runner up Judy York 79;   CTP   Frances Tapiata

9 Hole LGU – Jill Carpinter 35

Men – Nett very few in the field today, best score Ted Howard 70

Sunday:

Cholmondeley Cup Rd 2 – field of 19 – 1st Eddie Eaton 37, Barney Muir, Jules Holden on 34, Rod Ensor, Ted Howard, Geoff Harmon, Geoff Pacey with 33

9 Hole  – 11.45am  Please note that for the next couple of weeks there is no organised game for you, as Jill is going to be away, as discussed on Saturday. Suggest you have your own haggle or maybe join the Vets.

Saturday – There is no official club day as the club is hosting the Takahanga Sports Facility Fundraising Tournament, if you are interested in supporting this community project, check out their website for details and register,  http://www.takahangasportfacility.co.nz/

Pitchmarks and Divots – We ask that you please fix these, our recent request for you to do so has not resulted in this happening, in respect of the course and other players do the right thing.  Thank you

Vouchers – just a reminder that any you are are lucky enough to receive from now on have the date of issue on them and are to be redeemed within twelve months of this date, any vouchers that you previously had in your possession without an issue date need to be used by 1st October – no exceptions!!

UPCOMING EVENTS

Golfhub Women’s 3 Day Tournament – Monday 11th – Wednesday 13th September –  we have had a good response with entries and organisation is well underway thanks to Jenny, Chrissie and their team. Just hope for a run of great weather.

Pro am –  7th and 8th October, entries are now open, full details and entry forms are available on our website and from the office.
