Well, I am sure we are all thinking of the people of Christchurch after the tragic events that happened during the week, who would have thought that this could happen in our beautiful country.

Thursday, 14th – there was not official vets game on, however Peter Harvey ran a haggle for those who turned up.

Thursday, 14th and Friday, 15th the club hosted the SI Post Office Tournament, unfortunately I do not have any results from this but some of our local boys who played in it were amongst the main prize-winners. Congratulations to those who played well to win a prize.

Our Templeton Cup team played Scargill at Hawarden and halved 3/3,    the Kaikoura Cup Team lost their first game against Pegasus Blue 5.5/.5. at Amuri
