Hi everyone,

As you all know our Annual General Meeting was held last Monday night, with 35 members attending which was very pleasing to see.   We welcome our 2018/2019 Officer’s and Committee who were elected –

Standing down is Mike Hargreaves who has done a great job as Club Captain over the last two years, Jill Carpinter who not only was our House Convenor, but also helped with the junior’s and Richard Howard who has done pretty much every important job imagineable within the club over the past several years,  thankyou all for the time and effort that you have given to the club.

This had a big following with those dropping out early supporting the rest of the group till there was a winner, with Steve keeping them watered and fed.

Neil Whitehead was the first to go on No. 1,  must have been the rush onto the tee at the last minute that did it!!!

Our winner was Marty Price after a playoff on No. 18 with Ben Ford

UPCOMING:

VETS CLOSING DAY, Thursday, 13^th December

The game of the day will be a stableford with a 10.00am start  and 11.00am for the 9 holer’s   There will be no charge for the match and you will NOT be required to bring a prize for the raffle table as there will be meat  raffles $2.00 per ticket.   However Brian asks that you bring a gift to the value $5.00 suitably wrapped for Christmas.

Afternoon Tea will be about 2.30pm followed by prizegiving and drawing of the raffle at 3.15pm  – Please note that both the golf and the function will go ahead wet or fine.

BOXING DAY – Tuesday, 26^th December

For those that want to try out their new club’s that Santa left, or maybe just walk off your Christmas Dinner there will be a game of the day, usual 12noon tee off and $5.00  haggle.

NEW YEAR’S DAY TOURNAMENT, Tuesday, 1^st January

Once again Charles Wiffen is sponsoring this event,   $20.00 entry fee – see noticeboard for full details, there is also a sheet up for names.
