It was a busy week for the club, starting with a visit from the Marlborough Vets on Monday and the Pro-Am over the weekend.

| Monday | Burkhart Trophy (our Vets vs Marlborough) We had a field of 42 players, with Kaikoura slightly out-numbered, competing for the Burkhart Trophy. The Trophy was donated by Burkhart Fisheries in 1992 and was contested annually until 2019 when Covid intervened. It has been a number of years since the Marlborough members travelled to Kaikoura but they have indicated that they would like to make the trip more often. Unfortunately for Kaikoura, the Stableford competition was won by Marlborough 530-535, our visitors thus retaining the cup. Top individual scorers were -Stuart McLagan (Blenheim) 38, on cb Alan Hickey, Kerry Harris 37, George Mitchinson (Marlborough) 36, Barney Muir 35, Gary Ytsma (Marlborough), Rimas Maciulaitis, Tony Nichol (Rarangi), Rod Ensor, John Price, Robbie Franklin 33. |

Saturday/Sunday | Hunting & Fishing and Friends Pro-Am A big thank you to all our sponsors, those involved with the organisation, grounds, kitchen and bar staff, together with volunteers who helped in many areas, the 40 teams who entered and let’s not forget the weather man for making this a great success!!
