Hope you all enjoyed the extra hour of beauty sleep gained by turning back the clocks for the end of daylight saving.  Some of you got a little confused on Sunday and thought it’s now that we begin the earlier start time for weekend club days.  Just to clarify, this comes in for the winter months 1st June until 31st August, at which time you will be reminded.

I am sorry to bring you some sad news this week, Mick York passed away on Saturday after a long illness, I am sure you are all behind me in sending Judy, Joanna and their family our condolences and kind wishes for their loss.

Inter-Club Competitions:
Congratulations to our Ladies Interclub team who had a win against Rarangi, this puts them 2nd overall by one point behind Blenheim. Best of luck to our Pennants team on Monday, hoping you can do the same.
Our (Men’s) Templeton Cup teams were not so lucky. Team green lost 2.5 /3.5 against Scargill at Scargill and Team yellow a 2.5/3.5 loss against Rangiora at Waimak Gorge.

SaturdayBaxter Cup – Mixed pairs, best combined net, 8 to qualify, then match play, still room for more names on the sheet!!! 12.00 noon tee-off.  
SundayKaikoura Cup teams playing at 9.30 am. Men’s club game – Stableford 12.00 noon
