Hi Everyone

If it’s not wind, then it’s rain, so a few events were cancelled this week.

Thank you to those who came and helped with the clean up after last weekend’s gales. Lots of firewood for next winters supply.

Tuesday:
A a hardy group from Methven braved the conditions and managed to finish their round despite the rain.  Monkeys Mob thought better of it and stayed home in the dry.

Thursday:
Ladies Closing Day, an enjoyable day starting with 20 ladies playing a Canadian foursome. This was followed by lunch at Donegal House and the presentation of the Midweek cups. Congratulations to Frances Tapiata, who won both the Quaiffe Plate, and the O’Çonnor cup, and Karin Rouse, the Davies Cup …well done ladies.

The Vets were 28 players this week. The comp was won by Rick Hughes on 42 pts, with Eric Baynton and Philip Baldwin on 40 and Craig Usmar 38.

Saturday: The Men played a par round, won by Ray Canavan 2 up, from Ashton
Stocker, also 2 up.

Sunday: Another rain event, with the Barron Pot postponed again. A few hardy souls were out there having a hit, I believe.
