Women dominated the course this week with our three day Tournament. Thanks to our major sponsor, Total Golf, Nelson. We had good fields each day, great weather and everything ran smoothly – thanks to the great team effort of the Kaikoura Women with your help in organising of this event.
The Closest to the Pin Ball drop raffle created a lot of interest, and ended up being a “Hole in One” thanks to South Pacific Helicopters – Barb and Karin went up for the drop, the practice run at the airport didn’t go so great, with a couple of “choice words” when they missed the target completely, but a good result in the end!
We had a lot of positive comments and overall everyone had a great time – some have already booked their accommodation for next year.
Thank you’s to volunteers, ground staff, sponsors etc were announced on the last night of prize giving, however there are some acknowledgements we would like to make to the following members who were not present:
John Price – for coming down each day to get the carts out and putting them away at the end of each day;
Rod Ensor, Barney Muir, Peter Harvey, Chiwi, Ron & Margie Mackle, Terry Clark, Kevin Genet for the use of your golf carts;
Peter Harvey and Dave Mackie – our Starters each day;
Richard Williams – Sponsors’ promo for the TV and casting the Leaderboard in the clubhouse.
Results listed are the first 5 places in each event and our locals in CTP’s etc. Full results are available on request, just let us know.
